HUGO BOSS sails with Alex Thomson at the Rolex Middle Sea Race

HUGO BOSS has long sponsored sports activities, focusing primarily on sailing, soccer, golf and Formula One racing, as these four sports reflect best the brand’s values including dynamism, perfection, and precision. The start of BOSS’s partnership with the Alex Thomson Racing Team hails back to 2003 with the legendary Rolex Fastnet Race along the English coastline.

Alex Thomson, a world-class sailor and the youngest yachtsman to ever win a round-the-world race, competed in the 38th edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race. Starting from Malta’s picturesque Grand Harbour and finishing off in Marsamxett Harbour, the 606-nautical-mile race brought together 53 yachts from 20 countries. Amongst them was the Alex Thomson Racing Team, on board the high-speed Imoca 60 class, which has been sponsored by HUGO BOSS for over a decade of success now.

The Imoca 60 serves as a brand ambassador, strengthening the association between HUGO BOSS and sailing, whilst promoting the company’s spirit of modernity, elegance, and confidence. Synonymous with fashion and lifestyle, HUGO BOSS also kits Alex Thomson and his crew with high-performance clothing for every type of weather conditions imaginable, as well as with high-fashion apparel for formal events and functions.

BOSS’s current Autumn/Winter collection, in fact, prepares one for unexpected weather in a number of situations by combining warmth, comfort, and style to create an overall impeccable look. Whether wearing a padded gilet, a down jacket, a tailored jacket in a water-repellent fabric, or a coat, your transition into autumn and the cooler temperatures need not be anything but stylish with HUGO BOSS.
